There’s no better way to make the most of a gorgeous day than on the water in your very own boat, but figuring out just what to do can be its own challenge. We here at Roger’s Performance Marine want to help you get to a fun-filled day without the stress of overthinking, so we’ve put together a few of our favorite boating activities. To learn more, or to see the boast we have for sale, contact our stores in Centerville and Hurricane, Utah, today!

Picnic On The Lake

Picnics are another great way to celebrate a lovely day, so why choose between the two? Take your picnic on the water with you! Crank up the radio, break out the food and a checkered blanket, and maybe even make some s’mores with a marine grill. Make a few easy, filling items like sandwiches and salads and take in the sunshine.

Movie Night

Who says you can only enjoy your boat in daylight hours? Set up a movie night on your pontoon or other spacious boat. All you need is a fully-charged laptop, your favorite DVDs or digital movies, and a bag or two of popcorn. Bring the whole family or just a special someone and watch some films under the stars with waves lapping at the sides of the boat.

Or take it up a notch! Bring a projector, hang up a sheet, and plug in to a power supply for a big-screen feel.

Remote Control Boat Races

Whether you’ve got kids or you’re still a kid at heart, remote control vehicles are undeniably fun. Find yourself a few remote control boats and take them out on your life-sized one for races, challenges, and other maritime adventures. Just be mindful that the small, electronic boats won’t hold up as well against water on their decks as yours might.

Special Events

For those with a large deck and plenty of room, your boat is more than a means of transportation—it’s a venue! Use it for bachelorette parties, small weddings (or as a wedding getaway vehicle), or other big life events.

Gatherings

The event doesn’t have to be life-changing to be worth a cruise, though. Boats are great places to host dinner parties, particularly if there’s space to set up a small table and chairs. Head to a scenic spot on your favorite body of water, drop anchor, and dig in. Even if it’s just a potluck, boats are a great place to relax and catch up.

We hope these ideas help you figure out your day on the water! For more suggestions, or if you’re in need of a boat to try these with, contact us at Roger’s Performance Marine. We proudly serve the people of Salt Lake City and St. George, Utah—let us serve you today!
